Joan Lynn Subieta, 46, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 in Anadarko, OK. She was born on August 28, 1964 in Lawton, OK to Ethel (Pennah) and Robert Subieta, Sr. She grew up in the Stecker area. She attended and graduated from Apache Schools where she played basketball. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Apache Indian Club. She was a member of the Delaware Nation and was an officer of the Delaware Enrollment Committee. She worked for the Delaware Nation as a Cultural Preservation Specialist helping to preserve the Delaware culture.
