My name is Stephanie (Wilbourn) Blankenship and I came to Lindsay over ten years ago when my family moved there so my dad could pastor The First Church. During my time there in Lindsay I have assisted my family at the church and worked a few different local jobs that have allowed me to meet many Lindsay residents. While I was still in High School I attended Mid-America Technology Center where I learned my computer skills in different programs that now help me with the creation of videos, pictures, and folders that are seen at the funerals. After graduating High School I moved to Lufkin Texas where I attended Texas Bible College for two years. I made my way back to Lindsay and I gladly call it my home. In 2015 I met Caleb Blankenship a resident of Lindsay and in 2016 we got married. We now have three children, Quentin, Sebastian, and Eliana. After Quentin was born I realized that I no longer wanted to work a full time job that would keep me away from him many hours and days a week, so I joined my dad at Wilbourn Family Funeral Home, and eventually accepted a position at Smith & Fort Cobb Funeral Homes as well. I am currently a licensed Funeral Director Embalmer as of December 2021. I enjoy being able to work with the families of Anadarko and Fort Cobb!

Darla grew up in the Oney/Fort Cobb area and has lived there all her life. She graduated from Oney High School in 1983. Her parents are the late Hershel Mathis and Jean (Mathis) Ross. She married Bruce Crowell and they have 2 boys, Kent and wife, Cassi and Preston and wife, Tabi. She and Bruce currently reside in Fort Cobb with their fur baby Corgi, Boston.

Darla began working part time in the funeral industry in 1985, working with her mother under the direction of Gerald and Gladys Gragg. She worked as an EMT with her husband for several years. After various jobs, she knew her calling was in the funeral industry and went full time in 1998 at the Gragg Funeral Home and Fort Cobb Funeral Home. She stayed with the company throughout many transitions.

When Darla's not at work, she enjoys camping, boating, gardening, chasing her 6 grandkids: Kaleb, Kendyll, Carter, Kutter, Paislynn and Chailyn at ballgames or whatever they may be doing, taking road trips with her husband Bruce, and spending time with family.

I was raised in the Oklahoma Panhandle, and attended school in Hooker, Oklahoma. I married my high school sweetheart, Larry G. Hoeme, in Liberal, Kansas. We have a blended family of 6 children, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grand children, and our very first great-great-granddaughter to arrive anytime now!

We moved to Fort Cobb in 2005. I went to work at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb in 2007, and retired after 10 years in 2017.

Two of the funniest and sweetest ladies asked if I would like to come to work for them at Smith Funeral Home in 2012. I said sure. It has been a great experience - both sad at times and wonderful. To watch these ladies comfort and care for the many families that came for help when they have lost a loved one. The respect they show each family in need is so beautiful.

My name is Linda Love. I was born in Ft. Cobb, OK. My family moved to Anadarko when I was a small child. I am the 11th child of 13 children. I went to school in Anadarko, and graduated in 1964. While attending, high school, I worked at the old Anadarko Public Library for four years.

I worked at Hollytex Carpet Mills where I met my husband, Leroy Love. I also worked in the Anadarko Public School system as a Teachers Aid and Substitute Teacher for a number of years.

Leroy and I raised two sons, Joseph and Les. We have one grandson and two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren. We enjoy spending time with our families and friends. We are members of the First United Methodist Church in Anadarko.

I find working at Smith's Funeral Home very fulfilling - being able to help people in Anadarko and surrounding areas in their time of need. We have a wonderful staff and employers to work with.

Leroy was born and raised in Apache, OK. He graduated from Apache High School. He met his wife, Linda of forty eight years while working at Hollytex Carpet Mills where he made a career of twenty eight years before it closed. Leroy proudly served in the Army National Guard for six years. They married in 1971 and made their home in Anadarko where they raised two boys. They graduated from Anadarko High School and now have families of their own. Leroy enjoys working in his yard and spending time with family and friends.

Rita (Orrell) was born in Caddo County, and has lived around Fort Cobb, OK all of her life. She married Ronnie Niece, and they raised three daughters. In 2005, her husband passed away after battling cancer.

She joined the team at Fort Cobb Funeral Home after retiring in 2017. She loves to read, quilting, making crafts, and enjoys spending quality time with her daughters; and loves being Nana to seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rita says she enjoys working at the funeral home and "being on the team". She has a very sweet and caring heart.
